The movie industry is observing an interesting phenomena accompanying the premier of a movie based on the television series "Sex and the City." For one, virtually all the fans are female, and what is even more interesting is the apperance of large groups of friends going to see the movie together. It is a phenomena observed in the past with the Star War series as well as the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Ticket sales have even outpaced the opening of Indiana Jones. It seems as though female friends enjoy to hoot and hollar at the screen and have the same kind of coversations with their girlfriends at work the next day.
