Erik Mehlen's illustrations are mostly done in mixed media. He likes to make realistic portraits and twist them in creative way this being done by forms of distortion to the figures. Erik was born in West Covina, California on September 25, 1983. His method of work includes mostly the paintbrush, along with the occasional mixed media of cut paper textures and dry media. Mehlen studied at the Atlanta College of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design. He currently is residing in Atlanta where he continues Free-lance Illustration work.

Society of Illustrators Honorable Mention, work accepted into Society of Illustrators L.A. and New York shows, 3 bronze ADDYS in the professional category.
Erik's work is very detailed and exciting. I especially enjoy his edgar allan poe cover for a book. The portraits are fun too. I really hope things go well for this artist.
